Videos on Perspective and some Cool Youtubers to Follow

Hey all!

Wanted to share a few ModerndayJames videos on perspective for those of you having trouble, especially with ellipses.

For those of you still having problems with the basics of perspective, I'd suggest looking at Scott Robertson's perspective book how to draw (listed under the FREE BOOKS tag) or look at the Part 1 videos in James's series above to brush up on the basics.

For anyone still looking for videos to learn from and study here's a few youtubers with really good information and experience:
  • ModernDayJames - Mentioned above, awesome artist to watch to understand linework and perspective!
  • Scott Robertson - For the uninformed, his book, How To Draw, is an amazing treasure trove of information on understanding perspective and form!
  • Proko - Awesome artist who utilizes the fundamentals of Loomis's techniques to contstruct forms and volume in the human body!
  • New Masters Academy - Great resources on tons of awesome figure drawing tutorials from famed artist (such as Steve Huston or Glenn Vilpuu) Though most of the tutorials are locked behind paysite, what still there offers rich study material and if you enjoy it, check out their site for more!
  • Chris Legaspi - An Awesome artist with tons of knowledge on figure drawing and colour and tone of skin. Great tutorials for form constructions, though most of it is locked to his gumroad if you want to check it out!
  • Marco Bucci - Awesome artist with very simple to understand tutorials on colours and lighting as well as grouping up tones and breaking down paintings in an easy to understand fashion! (NOTE WE WILL NOT BE DOING COLOUR AND RENDERS YET, it's good to study and learn on your own time though)
  •  Ahmed Aldoori - Awesome painter with great knowledge on utilizing photoshop and colour and light to create eyecatching and evocative pieces. Also has great knowledge on anatomy and shape design so check him out!
  • Sinix - An Awesome painter with a unique style built around strong shape design. Study his colour choices and his theory on forms!
  • Cynthia Sheppard - Awesome illustrator with a really strong understanding of design as well as traditional and digital painting. If you want to get into magic the gathering or league of legends splash art, I'd suggest follow her to study from!
  • Noah Bradley - Awesome background painter for Magic the Gathering, great resource to learn tonal contrast as well as how to do master studies!
  •  Feng Zhu - Awesome background painter with tons of knowledge on the industry and great speedpaintings to study from (NOTE WE SUGGEST NOT FOCUSING ON PHOTOBASHING ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF FORMS)
Again, these are just a few artist out there with (mostly) free tutorials so if you dig around a bit you'll no doubt find great tips and tutorials. Hope that helped!
